The Question Block @ PAX Prime!

2013-SRGE-trivia-3The Question Block heads to the mothership!

Join us in the Unicorn Theater on Sunday, September 1st at PAX Prime, for more videogame trivia!  We will be running our “con” version of the Question Block, first seen at SRGE 2013, with a couple of minor changes.  First of all, if you didn’t see what the “con” edition of our trivia game is like, let’s run down a primer.

The Question Block is a multimedia trivia event focusing on classic and modern video games! 5 graded rounds plus a number of “Flashback” rounds focus on video game trivia, minutiae, and general knowledge.

Here are your questions in convenient FAQ form!

How Will You Grade All Those Answer Sheets?

Unlike the standard format, we’ll be collecting everyone’s sheets after each round, and grading them ourselves, so you don’t have to worry about it.  Also, unlike the standard Pub Quiz format, the “con” edition of the Question Block uses answer sheets that have multiple choice answer sheets!  That’s right, we’re breaking out the mimeograph machine and the old “scantron” answer keys to make sure we get through everyone’s answers as quickly as possible.

Will We Still Go Over The Answers?  I Like That Part!

Yes, we’ll still go over the answers, and this will be your opportunity to shout out the answer!

I Really Like Yelling Out The Answers!

Well, we still ask you to hold your tongue during the regular rounds, but new for “con” edition, we have Flashback rounds!  In the Flashback rounds, we’ll share some of the questions we’ve had from the past year of trivia.  I know a lot of you won’t have seen these questions before, so you’ll have an opportunity to yell out the answer if you know it! If you have been to the previous year’s trivia nights, please give everyone else who is experiencing these questions for the first time an opportunity to guess!

OK, Count Me In!  Where Is It?

Our PAX panel is on Sunday, September 1st, in the Unicorn Theater from 8:30PM to 10:30PM.  We can’t wait to see you all there!
